About me and this blog

I’m Professor of UK Human Rights Law in the Law School at the University of East Anglia. I teach Public Law and UK Human Rights Law but my research specialism is in the law and practice of protest, and the policing of public order. I am the author of The New Law of Peaceful Protest: Rights and Regulation in the Human Rights Act Era (Hart Publishing, 2010). You can find further information about me and my academic interests here. This blog will largely be about those topics but is likely to detour aimlessly through party politics, shoe-gazing and guitar-based music of the 1980s/1990s, the travails of Derby County and other hopeless losers, and the perennial battle against weeds in my garden. Views are my own and anyone else who happens to agree with me. I tweet as seethingmead

Cheers
